Our Story
(There are a couple of options to get tickets for Whisky a Go Go on May 21, 2012 (1) We will be at different locations selling tickets until the show. The end of commercialism is at hand, and thank God, because music is richer without the price tag! Opposing Suns make music, not products. We don’t have to be rock ‘n’ roll, “indie”, or metal. We can be any genre we want to be at any time, or choose to mix them all together. The broad range of human emotions expressed through music cannot be chained down to one sub-genre, nicely packaged at your nearest Best Buy location. We write music about both our dreams and our nightmares. We write music to calm our anxiety of living in a world we don’t belong in. Our lyrics explore our ideas of Utopia. In them we vent our disdain for religion and our consumer driven, money mad system. Some of our songs are hopeful, others are depressing.
Opposing Suns is currently planning both an East and West Coast tour, with a desire to play house shows, parties, and festivals.
